Delete your account

1. Open PeopleConnect24 and tap your photo at the top right to open your account.
2. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm your SIM, then confirm the deletion.

Email hello@peopleconnect24.com with the subject “Delete my account” and your mobile number. We confirm the number is yours, then delete the account in the same way, within 15 days.

In the PeopleConnect24 app, each of these is deleted from our servers straight away:

• Names shared from your contacts: your photo › Privacy › turn off Share contact names. Everything you shared is deleted.
• Spam answers: remove an answer from the screen where you gave it. To stop sharing new ones: your photo › Privacy › turn off Share spam answers.
• Profile photo and details: your photo › tap Remove under the photo; clear or change any other detail and save.
• CV: Job profile › Remove next to your CV.
• Ads and job posts: Marketplace › My ads › Delete.
• Reviews: open the business › your review › Delete.
• Saved searches and recently viewed ads: Marketplace › My Marketplace › Searches › Delete; recently viewed › Clear.

Anything else: email hello@peopleconnect24.com with your mobile number and what to delete. We confirm the number is yours and delete it within 15 days. The same records as below are kept.

• Your profile: name, photo, email, second number and other details.
• Your devices and sign-ins, online status, blocked numbers, favourites and notifications.
• Reviews you wrote, and the record of who looked up your number or viewed your profile, and whom you looked up.
• Your businesses are taken out of the directory, and your marketplace ads and job posts are removed.
• Your job profile, CV and job applications, and the record of employers who viewed, invited or asked for your number, and anyone you blocked.
• Pending contact requests end, and contact details you shared are withdrawn.
• Names you shared from your contacts, so callers are no longer named from them.

• Chat messages and enquiries you sent stay with the person or business you sent them to: it is their copy too.
• Reports you made are kept as safety records.
• Spam answers you shared stay in the combined answers, no longer linked to you.
• If you unlisted your number, it stays unlisted, as you asked.
• Payment records and receipts are kept for as long as tax law requires.
• Records needed for an investigation, such as a review or content under an open report, are kept for 180 days, as the IT Rules, 2021 require.
• A short record without your personal details (account id, dates and status; a business’s or ad’s name and status) stays, so reports and past actions still make sense.

Calls, SMS, contacts and call history are on your phone, not with us (apart from contact names you chose to share). Uninstalling the app does not delete them. See the privacy policy for everything we hold.
